Camp Horizon - Arkansas City, Kansas
Description
Approximately 63 miles from Wichita. You won't believe you are in Kansas! The course loop is approximately 9 miles long with over 1000 feet of climbing and 90% single track. The remaining 10% is primitive double track. Horizon is technical but has some beginner and moderate trails as well. There are flat and fast open throttle sections as well as wooded trails and rocky, technical track. Rolling roller coaster like descents intermingle with short ascents, drops and whoop-de-doos. The energy sucking climb towards the end of each lap will slow even the strongest rider. After a few laps you'd swear you were on an EPIC! Bottom line, you won't be able to wipe the grin off your face.

Miller's Meadow - Wichita, Kansas
NOTE:
Steve & Tim Miller would like remind everyone that we are guests on the property at Miller's Meadow.
Steve uses this land for several different projects and there will be times when those projects cause the trail to be blocked or cause us to need to re-route our trail.
If you encounter someone working out there, or if you encounter a road block, please be courteous and do not behave as if you have top priority there. Again, we are guests and should behave in a grateful, humble manner.
Please pass this message along to anyone you see at Miller's.

Fall River , Kansas
KSS is working together with the Kansas Trails Commission (KTC) to build a trail at Fall River.
For those who weren't at the December 2006 KSS meeting; Mike Goodwin, president of the Kansas Trails Council and Gary Simmons, Lake Ranger for the Corps of Engineers at Fall River presented a proposal to KSSingletrack to build what could eventually consist of 25 miles or more of singletrack trails at Fall River Lake.
The trails would be used for mountain biking/hiking only. No motorized or equestrian use permitted.
The site has a mix of open grassy areas with a lot of old growth hardwood trees mixed in with sandstone outcroppings, basically ideal soil and terrain for singletrack.
The project has the backing of The Kansas Trails Council for assistance with design and tools including some machinery, and the blessing of the Corps of Engineers for guaranteed land use. With the trails located on Corps controlled land there would be no user fees for trail use. They can also offer free camping year round and heated bathrooms and shower facilities from around March through at least late September.
Currently the Corps controls a corridor of land that surrounds the entire lake. The plans call for constructing trail in several areas in a series of phases beginning with an area just east of the lake dam. Anyone who is familiar with the area can tell you that there is some really great terrain for trails out there.
Fall River is located approximately 75 miles or about an hour and 15 minutes east of Wichita, roughly the same distance and travel time as the Horizon trails.

Winfield City Lake - Winfield, Kansas
Description
The Winfield City Lake trails are tucked way back at the southeast tip of the Winfield City Lake. If you aren't familiar with the county roads and a short cut, prepare to drive on the bumpy gravel road on the south side of the lake for about 15 minutes from the lake office to the trail head. The trails are easy to moderate. Half of the trails are on mowed open prairie with small rolling hills. The other half are on wooded singletrack that traces the edges of Timber Creek and follows a small wooded bluff. There are approximately 4.5 miles of trails. These trails are really peaceful, due to its out-of-the-way location. The City of Winfield does a great job at keeping them mowed, but the trails do require trail work to make the ride worthwhile.
